Gyeryong City will hold a year-end concert titled “Songs That Bring Joy” on December 13 at 5 p.m. in the main hall of the Gyeryong Cultural Arts Center. The program is a fresh fusion of musical theatre and gugak (Korean traditional music), combining the theatrical emotion of musicals with the restrained sincerity of gugak for a moving experience. The concert will feature a wide range of songs — from beloved classics that cross generations to new pieces — performed by leading musical divas Shin Young-sook and Cha Ji-yeon, alongside gugak artist Kim Jun-soo, who blends traditional spirit with modern sound. The performance is suitable for ages 8 and up; tickets go on sale December 10 at 10 a.m. at the public facilities office or via the Gyeryong Cultural Arts Center website.
