Top Korean athleisure brands, Joyxmix (젝시믹스) and Andar (안다르), are moving beyond leggings by broadening product lines to include high-performance fleece and padded outerwear, driving strong sales growth. As cooler autumn weather arrived, Joyxmix reported a 130% year-on-year rise in women's puffer sales and a 30% increase for its sherpa (thick fleece) line; sales of lightweight insulated vests rose about 120%. Andar achieved record first-half sales of 135.8 billion KRW by diversifying into runningwear, loungewear, swimwear and outerwear, backed by in-house R&D (‘Andar AI Lab’) and proprietary fabrics. Both brands are using broader categories to strengthen domestic sales and expand internationally—Andar has entered markets including Japan, Singapore, Australia and recently the U.S. Industry observers say that to stay competitive, athleisure players must offer differentiated outerwear design and performance at accessible prices to attract new customers.
