Seongnam Arts Foundation Stages Puccini's Tosca for Art Center's 20th Anniversary

Seongnam Arts Foundation will present Puccini's opera Tosca at Seongnam Art Center Opera House on Oct. 28–29 to celebrate the center's 20th anniversary. Tosca, set in 19th-century Rome, explores a single night of love, jealousy, power and betrayal. The cast includes notable domestic and international singers: sopranos Jo Seon-hyeong and Seo Seon-young as Tosca; tenors Shin Sang-geun and Park Seong-gyu as the painter Cavaradossi (Caravadosi); baritones Park Jeong-min and Ryu Ji-sang as the chief of police Scarpia; and bass Choi Gong-seok as the escaped political prisoner Angelotti. Conductor Roberto Gianola will lead the National Symphony Orchestra. Tickets are available via the Seongnam Art Center website and NOL Ticket. As a special promotion, attendees whose birthdays match the center's opening date (October 14) receive a 50% discount.
