CGV’s SCREENX Screenings of ‘Chainsaw Man: Reze’ Draw Young Audiences

CGV reports that the theatrical anime film “Chainsaw Man: Reze” has passed 2.79 million cumulative viewers, with 67% of the audience aged in their teens and twenties. The cinema chain says its SCREENX format—which expands imagery onto the side walls as well as the central screen—has boosted immersion and received high praise for enhancing the film’s stylish direction, large-scale action, and emotional beats. Audience reviews and CGV’s viewer rating (Golden Egg index) are very positive (97%). CGV will continue SCREENX showings at major locations (e.g., Gangnam, Guro, Ansan, Yongsan I’Park Mall, Ulsan Samsan, Uijeongbu, Cheonan Penta Port). Due to strong demand, the accordion poster (아코디언 포스터) giveaway—previously distributed and quickly sold out—will be offered again to SCREENX viewers on the 10th and 11th; details are available on the CGV mobile app. A CGV content manager said the format amplifies the anime’s dynamic direction and subtle emotions and that the chain will keep offering immersive experiences through its special theaters.
