Beauty tech firm LIVEX said its premium salon brands SALON A and WENEED are rapidly expanding. Since its 2021 founding, LIVEX has built an integrated system for salon operations, education, branding and CRM. SALON A runs about 40 locations nationwide, while WENEED operates 31 branches including six WENEED Black outlets. WENEED recently opened a new Ilgwang branch and launched its first overseas salon in Nagoya, Japan, which has seen strong bookings from month one. LIVEX is localizing for the Japanese market by having Korean star instructors and designers regularly visit Nagoya to teach Korean styles and techniques, and plans Tokyo and Osaka openings in early next year. The company is preparing further expansion into Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Taiwan). SALON A emphasizes structured systems, education (BOB Academy and HairCamp), and organizational programs for managers and designers. WENEED promotes higher autonomy for stylists with a 70% incentive pay structure and ongoing support programs to foster self-directed growth. LIVEX also runs BOB ACADEMY (offline education), HAIRCAMP (online education), TAMZ (premium haircare), and GLAMIFY (AI-based CRM) to drive digital transformation in beauty. CEO Song Jeong-woong said LIVEX plans to expand to 150 domestic stores in Seoul and the greater capital area, pursue M&A into related industries like cosmetics, and position itself as a K-beauty global innovator showcasing Korean style (K-beauty).
