Children's Voices on Stage: 'The World We Protect' by Suseong ArtpiaCreatrip Team
a month ago
Suseong Artpia will present a children's devised play, 'The World We Protect,' on the small theater stage on the 8th at 5 PM. The 40-minute performance is the result of a three-month creative project in which 15 local elementary students (grades 4–6) wrote lines and helped design the production to explore children's rights and develop expressive skills. Guided by reading writer Kang Kyung-su's picture book 'A Story That Feels Like a Lie,' the children used their own experiences and imaginations and applied theater-play techniques to build scenes and stage elements. The project aims to nurture young creators and strengthen children's awareness of human rights by letting them speak in their own, candid language. Suseong Artpia also runs year-round theater-play programs through its children's arts education center 'Ateiner' (아테이너) and is accepting applicants for waiting lists. Admission to this invited performance is free; inquiries: 053-668-1851.
