Autumn Echoes: Four Artists Capture Nature’s Resonance at Youngsun GalleryCreatrip Team
a month ago
Youngsun Gallery in Suwon opened “Autumn Echoes (秋響),” a group exhibition by four artists—Kim Jeong-hwan, Moon Su-man, Seong Min-woo, and Je Mi-young—showcasing about 50 works that reflect different perspectives on autumn. Kim’s In Quiet Silence explores the aesthetics of silence using hanji (Korean paper) texture and silica sand to evoke inner balance and the deep blues of sky and sea. Moon’s Cloud series repeats paint and rice-grain impressions to suggest cyclical time and the meeting of tradition and modernity (rice as a material). Seong paints delicate portraits of grasses on silk with ink and gold/silver powder to celebrate life’s dignity and natural cycles. Je reinterprets the traditional patchwork technique jogakbo (조각보) with colorful fabric scraps to create geometric, warm, and bold compositions reminiscent of lively autumn mornings. The show invites visitors to pause, reconnect with nature’s rhythms, and find quiet reflection; it runs through the 30th.
