Burger King Korea launched two new Korea-inspired burgers, the 'Crisper Buldak Chicken' and 'Crisper Yangnyeom (seasoned) Chicken,' blending Korean spicy flavors with the chain’s crispy chicken patty. Introduced on April as part of the Asia-first 'Crisper' series, the new items topped first-week sales expectations at about 113% of the target. Consumers praised the novel combination of familiar Korean tastes—like buldak (spicy fire chicken) and yangnyeom chicken (sweet-spicy seasoned chicken)—with a crunchy patty and domestic pickles, calling the results both fresh and fun to try at different spice levels. Burger King says it will continue expanding the Crisper lineup with more flavor variations to showcase Korean heat to global customers.
