The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has launched a stamp-tour event tied to its “Korea Tourism 100” — a biennial list of the country’s top 100 attractions. In May, KTO issued a “stamp passport” so visitors can collect stamps at each site. From Nov 3–16, participants can submit their stamp records and personal details on KTO’s official portal ‘Korea.travel’ (대한민국 구석구석) to enter a contest awarding the most-certified traveler. Winners will be announced Dec 1. The top prize is the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and a 1,000,000 won national travel voucher; the runner-up receives the KTO President’s Award and a 500,000 won voucher. The campaign aims to encourage travel around Korea’s scenic spots during November and reward avid travelers.
