Seochogu will host the 8th Yangjae Maljukgeori Festival on Nov. 6–7 to celebrate the neighborhood’s horse-themed heritage and boost local businesses. The name Maljukgeori comes from a historical practice of feeding porridge to travelers’ horses. This year’s theme, “Embracing Tradition, Galloping into an AI Future,” features traditional horses, AI robot horses, and a Cybertruck together. Activities from noon to 4 PM include children’s riding and feeding at a stable experience (마방 체험). On Nov. 7, an AI robot horse exhibit will let kids meet both real and robot horses. The festival highlight is a parade at 4:30 PM led by six traditional horses followed by three AI robot horses and a Cybertruck; children in spacesuits will appear on a Cybertruck during the opening ceremony. Performances will include hosts and singers, and a nighttime food-and-beer street festival (야한밤에 음식 문화축제) runs 6–9 PM with receipt-based and event giveaways. Vehicle traffic will be restricted in parts of Maljukgeori on Nov. 7 for the event.
