This winter, Korean outdoor brands are shifting focus from bulky padding to 'true insulation'—how warm, long-lasting, and lightweight a jacket feels. Companies are investing in proprietary materials and refined internal structures to minimize cold spots and improve heat retention. Eider launched the 'Add-on Down' with 3D baffle construction and a premium 'Cashmere short coat down' using Italian cashmere fill layered with goose down. Discovery Expedition introduced 'Bansley Down' with a graphene-based 'HeatCore' lining for warmth, lightness, and anti-static properties. BlackYak's 'Climbing StoneMaster' uses ultra-light 7-denier fabric and antibacterial polyester technology, while K2's 'Golden K95' raises down fill power to 95% for greater warmth and lightness. The North Face remastered its Nupsi (눕시) with recycled GRS-certified down and reinforced polyethylene yarn for durability. Brands say the aim is measurable, wearable warmth through design, materials, and construction rather than just specs.
