Lotte Hotels & Resorts Provides Protocol and Catering for 2025 APEC SummitCreatrip Team

Lotte Hotels & Resorts deployed about 300 hospitality professionals from its nationwide chain to provide protocol and catering services for the 2025 APEC Leaders’ Meeting and APEC CEO Summit in Gyeongju. Staff received intensive pre-event training in international service manners, country-specific protocol, and scenario-based response. An ‘APEC VIP Protocol Team’ led by veteran concierges (Golden Key award) and experienced room service experts delivered high-level hospitality. The culinary team, led by Master Chef Kim Song-gi, sourced regional ingredients and developed menus after multiple internal reviews; all food and most tableware were supplied and safety-tested by the hotel. Lunch and dinner menus showcased Gyeongju and Korean identity with dishes like smoked salmon with Gyeongju apple coleslaw, premium ‘Gyeongju Cheonnyeon Hanwoo’ (Korean beef) filet, abalone, galbijjim (braised short ribs), and a dessert named “Shilla’s Smile” blending rich chocolate mousse and seasonal fruit. Lotte Hotel Busan catered the APEC CEO Summit welcome dinner and worked with Seonjae Sunim (a master of temple cuisine) to present refined, health-focused Korean courses using local ingredients, emphasizing Korean aesthetics and healing food culture. Lotte says the event highlighted Korea’s diverse gastronomy and hospitality to the world.
