After K-pop star G-Dragon appeared at the airport wearing Korean Air first-class pajamas, demand for matching pajama sets surged. E-Land Retail’s lifestyle brand ANYBODY reported a sharp rise in ‘setup pajama’ sales—peach-fleece pajamas up 52% and microfleece stretch up 39% year‑on‑year in mid‑October. ANYBODY increased pajama share of its sales from 30% to 50% (vs. 2020) and introduced coordinated colors and improved fabrics (anti‑static techniques for winter microfleece). SPAO, JAJU, FILA Underwear and other brands also expanded home‑and‑loungewear lines into everyday outerwear and resort styles. Even Korean Air benefited from indirect marketing as first‑class amenity pajamas worn by G‑Dragon drew attention; the airline allows first‑class passengers to take the onboard pajamas and slippers as souvenirs.
