Ulsan city will hold the 6th Ulsan Startup Festa on November 3–4 at the Jongha Innovation Center’s Ulsan Startup Hub. The theme is “Connection: Innovation through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI Transformation (AX),” aiming to strengthen Ulsan’s startup ecosystem and accelerate industrial transition as it promotes itself as an ‘AI capital.’ Eighteen programs will run, covering regional ecosystem collaboration, open innovation and tech business, investment expansion, and international networking, including a seed startup competition. For the first time, a foreign founders pitch competition will be held to support international teams’ settlement and commercialization in Korea, positioning Ulsan as a global startup hub. The opening day features a keynote by Lee Han-bin of Seoul Robotics and a talk show on technology innovation and the future of the startup ecosystem chaired by Professor Kim Nam-hoon of UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology).
