BBQ has fully renovated two Gyeongju locations to prepare for the 2025 APEC summit. The 'BBQ Village SonoCalm Gyeongju' inside the SonoCalm resort (designated accommodation for senior officials) now staffs employees trained in the chain’s global standards and tightened QCS (Quality, Cleanliness, Service) checks and on-site manuals to meet international event expectations. The 'Gyeongju BBQ Hanwha Resort' will deploy foreign-language staff (English, Chinese) and extend operating hours to midnight during the APEC period to better serve overseas visitors. BBQ says increased regular, dine-in and takeout traffic and group booking inquiries have followed the refurbishment, and the company aims to promote Korean culture through K-food using its experience operating in 57 countries.
