Korea's live performance market hit a Q3 record with about 461.5 billion won in ticket sales and roughly 6.53 million tickets sold, up 12.8–20% from a year earlier, according to the Arts Management Support Center's KOPIS report. Pop music and musicals led growth: pop concerts earned about 263.7 billion won (up 22.8%) and musicals about 138.7 billion won (up 14.9%); dance saw a dramatic 96.2% rise to roughly 6.4 billion won. Among the top 20 shows, 12 were pop and seven were musicals. International productions like the touring musical Wicked and Aladdin, plus Phantom, took the top three spots. Blackpink's two-day world tour stop at Goyang Sports Complex ranked fourth, while PSY's multi-city summer concert 'Heumbokshow' (흠뻑쇼 — PSY's water-themed outdoor concert) placed fifth and also charted highly in other cities (Busan, Suwon, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon), helping drive nationwide ticket demand.
