Installation artist Park Ji-eun presents 'It's Not the Cloud's Fault When the Rain Comes' at the Wonju Hanji Theme Park from Oct 30 to Nov 2. The exhibition, supported by the Gangwon Cultural Foundation, is titled 'Fragments Left by Flow' and explores scattered emotions that accumulate, move, and sometimes become solace. Park uses hanji (traditional Korean handmade paper) as a key material, describing its texture as a record of feeling and a vessel that holds flow and life’s grain. Wooden forms represent the self, while the dispersion and gathering of elements depict emotional traces, recovery, and the time that shapes identity. The show links a thousand-year-old material with contemporary installation art, noted for a fresh young perspective and for highlighting Wonju as one of South Korea’s three hanji industry centers. An opening reception is scheduled for Oct 30 at 4 PM at the exhibition hall.
