At the Japan Mobility Show 2025 in Tokyo, Honda revealed prototypes of its next-generation electric vehicle lineup called the '0 Series.' The company said it is returning to basics with EVs designed to be "thin, light and smart." Exhibits included the low-profile, sporty 0 Saloon prototype and the mid-size 0 SUV—planned as the first model to reach the market. Honda also debuted the world-first compact electric car 0 Alpha (α), which uses a "thin" packaging approach to achieve a lower overall height without reducing ground clearance. Honda plans to begin selling the 0 Alpha in Japan and India from 2027 and to roll out other 0 Series models from 2028; a Korean (domestic) launch is not yet decided. The display also featured an electric motorcycle concept, a sustainable rocket concept, and the lightweight HondaJet Elite II business jet.
