A craft exhibition held alongside the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, “Korean Crafts 2025: Heritage for Tomorrow,” runs through Nov. 30 at the Cheongun Hybrid Complex in Gyeongju. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft and Design Foundation, the show features about 70 works by 36 craftspeople across media such as metal, ceramics, textiles and glass. Curated to reflect APEC’s theme “Connect, Innovate, Prosper,” the display highlights the philosophies behind Korean craft, including award-winning makers like Jeong Da-hye (Loewe Foundation Craft Prize winner) and Bahk Jong-sun, whose furniture appeared in the film “Parasite” (2019). The exhibition includes traditional items seen in popular culture like the gat (traditional Korean hat) and also promotes sustainability with pieces made from recycled glass bottles, patchwork and Lego blocks. Admission is free.
