Tongyeong Bridge Transformed into a Sea-side Art Work

Tongyeong Bridge, which connects downtown Tongyeong to Mireukdo (an island), has been renovated into a 'sea-side art work.' The city of Tongyeong spent 4 billion won since March to reinforce the bridge, exposed to sea wind and salt since its 1998 opening, and painted a new rendition of local artist Jeon Hyuk-rim’s work 'Pungeoje' (a traditional fishery blessing festival painting) on the bridge arch.
