National Museum of Korea Opens New Conservation Science Center

The National Museum of Korea in Yongsan, Seoul, inaugurated its Conservation Science Center on October 28, 2025. At the opening ceremony, staff demonstrated conservation work, including the cleaning of traditional paintings and calligraphy. The center aims to strengthen scientific preservation of cultural heritage using advanced conservation techniques and to support research, restoration, and public education about Korea’s artifacts.
