The Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation will hold the first-ever "Buk-gu Lover (부꾸러버) Festival" on November 1 at Mujigae Park in Sangyeok 3-dong, Buk-gu. The one-day event showcases local 생활문화동아리 (community culture clubs) with an afternoon performance zone featuring eight acts—Nanta (percussion) show, K‑POP dance, choir, acoustic guitar, and a reading play—and special evening performances of gugak (traditional Korean music) by Pansori Jejakso Soridamgi and jazz by the Long Island Jazz Band. A hands-on experience zone offers free workshops run by clubs, including making sock yarn keyrings, planting chrysanthemum flowers, creating fabric art handkerchiefs, and chewy cookie baking; paid options include calligraphy bookmarks, knitted keyrings, and caricatures. A market sells calligraphy and knitting goods and iPad drawing items. Interactive attractions include a collaborative paper-flower photo zone and balloon clown acts. More details are on the Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation website (문의: 053-320-5138).
