Dermatologist Kim Yang-je Donates 10 Million KRW to Support Large Families

Dr. Kim Yang-je, head of Gouun Sesang Kim Yang-je Jang Bong-seok Dermatology Clinic, donated 10 million KRW to the Kim Young-sik Three-Children Support Foundation to help overcome low birthrates and support families with multiple children. A long-time philanthropist, Dr. Kim has contributed through medical tourism advisory roles, Red Cross activities, scholarships, and regional development efforts (e.g., Busan International Film Festival sponsorship). He said the gift reflects that “giving is an expression of the heart” and hopes local families can feel more secure raising children. The full donation will fund the 2025 childbirth congratulations cash program, providing 2 million KRW each to five families who had three children, given in the clinic’s name. The foundation has so far supported 875 households with about 1.777 billion KRW, including 60 recipients in June, continuing practical efforts to address Korea’s low birthrate.
