Ripples of Art from Nature: '2025 Eco Art Fair - Flow' Opens in ChuncheonCreatrip Team
a month ago
The 2025 Eco Art Fair - Flow, organized by Kangwon Domin Ilbo and hosted at the Gangwon Design Promotion Institute in Chuncheon on April 24, brought together 62 artists and some 300 works in Gangwon’s largest art market. The opening combined art and ecological respect with a traditional 헌다례 (tea-offering ritual) ceremony, performances by singer-songwriter Han Bona, and awards for emerging artists — with Im Yun-mi winning the top prize in the ‘Small Waves, Big Picture’ contest run with Kangwon University. Collaborations included Yanggu White Porcelain Museum (양구백자박물관), Mahasanhbang (마하산방), and local galleries; officials praised the fair for breaking regional stereotypes and celebrating local culture. Events also featured a tea ceremony for artists’ and nature’s well-being, exhibition tours, and a tea practice session by artist Lee Jung-woo and Mahasanhbang on April 26.
