Namyangju Concludes 2025 Lifelong Learning Festival Honoring Jeong Yak-yongCreatrip Team

Namyangju City held its 9th Lifelong Learning Festival on the 25th at the Jeong Yak-yong Library and Dasan Cultural Park, drawing about 3,000 participants including citizens, learning clubs, and local institutions. Under the theme “True Learning (the learning Jeong Yak-yong spoke of),” the event featured learning and Human Book (휴먼북) booths, exhibitions, performances, children’s activities related to Jeong Yak-yong, and promotional stands from regional universities and organizations. The opening included a media drum performance, sand art illustrating lifelong learning, and a laser show, plus food stalls. Local artists, learning groups, and Human Books performed together to enthusiastic applause. Mayor Joo Gwang-deok said the festival celebrated the joy and value of learning and pledged to continue building Namyangju as a lifelong learning city inspired by Jeong Yak-yong’s spirit.
