As spring approaches, the performing arts scene in Gangwon, South Korea, offers a variety of family-friendly productions that promise to entertain both young and old. From February 18 to 23, at the Chuncheon Theatre Fox, the Dream Child Puppet Theater presents the original puppet show 'Racing Under the Round Moon: The Rabbit and the Tortoise,' which revisits the classic Korean folktale (a traditional story) with a new twist focusing on friendship rather than competition. Additionally, on February 22, Gangneung Arts Center presents the classic musical 'Faraway Neighbor England Travel' based on a popular history book that educates children about world history and culture through music. Lastly, 'Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf,' a participatory program at Samcheok Culture and Arts Hall, invites audiences to engage with the storyline in creative ways, breaking down the barriers between the stage and the audience.
