The 'Eolssoo Festival' took place on the 25th at a cultural park near Yeonsu Station in Incheon, celebrating cultural exchange among Koryo-saram (ethnic Koreans from the former Soviet Union), local Koreans, and residents from CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries. Organized by Yeonhap Koryeo and supported by Incheon city and international arts NGOs, the large-scale event featured traditional and modern programs from 43 member groups. Popular attractions included hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) try-ons, bibimbap and dairy tasting booths, and musical performances. CIS exhibition booths displayed traditional costumes and crafts. Youth and children enjoyed creative activities by the Future Kids club and a Mortal Kombat 2 tournament. Practical services such as dental and tuberculosis checks, vascular health screenings, and insurance consultations were offered at health booths. Volunteer groups managed safety and operations, and the festival ended with shared music and dance celebrating friendship and unity. The organizers said they plan to continue expanding this cultural exchange platform.
