The Netflix hit animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters" (케데헌) has driven more foreign fans to visit its real-life settings, such as the National Museum of Korea, but many museums still provide exhibit information mainly in Korean and English. From January–August this year, visitors from China, Japan, and Taiwan made up 58.8% of incoming tourists, yet detailed object descriptions and website content are often only in English, with Chinese and Japanese limited to room-level guides. Visitors reported difficulty understanding exhibits without native-language explanations; some seek out Chinese characters (hanja) or rely on friends for translation. Experts say expanded non-English language support, better translations, and clearer signage would deepen understanding of Korean culture and help sustain tourism driven by cultural phenomena like 케데헌.
