Istanbul Airport’s IGA Pass, a paid fast-track service, lets travelers skip security and passport queues using a QR code at dedicated lanes, completing check-in, ID and security in about five minutes. Daily use costs about €110 (around KRW 200,000), with annual tiers available. The airport, one of the world’s busiest connecting Europe, Asia and Africa, operates six IGA Pass counters and offers lounge access; similar paid fast-track services run at about 29 other global hubs. In contrast, Incheon International Airport has not implemented a paid fast-track, citing social friction between paying and non-paying passengers; it currently offers priority free service only for mobility-impaired travelers. A recent Incheon survey found 70% of respondents would consider using a paid fast-track, while critics say it creates inequality or isn’t worth the cost. IGA officials stress the goal is accessibility and service diversity rather than an exclusive “rich-only” offering.
