Suede has become a key fabric for men’s fall/winter wardrobes in Korea, expanding from shoes and bags to jackets and shirts. Once seen as a classic material, suede is now offered in diverse silhouettes—trucker jackets, oversize fits, Harringtons, shirts, vests and blue-jean-style blousons—blurring the line between formal and casual. Retail data from LF Mall shows searches for “suede” doubled and “suede jackets” jumped fivefold in Aug–Sep, while sales of suede outerwear rose sharply. Brands such as HAZZYS, TNGT, Dunst and JILLSTUART NEWYORK have increased suede offerings and production, using both real goat leather and synthetic (faux) suede with finishes like oil-washing for vintage texture. Warm browns, camel and khaki tones are particularly popular, and many items sold out quickly or prompted reorder requests. Retailers say suede is now a FW must-have for men, valued for its soft look and versatile styling.
