Running Craze Spurs Fashion Industry: Dedicated Hubs and Pop-ups Draw CustomersCreatrip Team

South Korea’s running boom is reshaping the retail and fashion landscape as brands open dedicated running sections and experiential pop-up stores. Style commerce platform 4910 (by Abley) reported a 9.7-fold year-on-year increase in running product sales last month. Sales of running shoes jumped 305-fold, windbreakers and short-sleeve tees rose 9-fold and 2-fold respectively, and overall running product orders increased seven times. Search interest on 4910 also surged—‘energy gel’ searches rose 23-fold, while running sunglasses, belts, and knee supports increased by 1000%, 331%, and 215%. In response, 4910 will launch a curated “running zone” offering personalized shoe recommendations based on body type. Pro-Specs opened a themed pop-up called “Trajectory of Running” at The Hyundai Seoul, showcasing 25FW running products and selling a limited “Infinite Rush Race Pack” including a 2026 Seoul Half Marathon entry (Seoul Half Marathon), racing shoes, a tee, bandana, and a lightweight bag.
