October 25 is Dokdo Day — Try Dokdo Soju Made from Korean RiceCreatrip Team
a month ago
Ahead of October 25 ‘Dokdo Day’, a premium distilled soju made from 100% Korean rice is drawing attention. Pyeongchang-based KR Company launched ‘40240 Dokdo 21°’ on August 15 (Korean Liberation Day) and sold 120,000 bottles within two months. The brand name references Dokdo’s postal code, 40240. The company uses freshly milled rice, low-temperature fermentation of raw rice, and vacuum distillation to highlight a soft, subtle rice flavor and a clean finish, positioning the drink as one to savor rather than simply to get drunk. Priced affordably at 9,000 won, the product is part of KR’s project to popularize distilled soju and is sold at GS25 and GS THE FRESH, with other Dokdo soju available online.
