KR Company will sell its premium distilled soju '40240 Dokdo 21°' at GS THE FRESH on the 25th to mark Dokdo Day. Named after Dokdo’s postal code (40240), the soju uses 100% domestic rice and a blend of Ulleungdo deep-sea water (marine deep water) and Pyeongchang spring water to create a clean, rich flavor. The product—launched exclusively at GS25 on Aug. 15—sold over 120,000 bottles in two months. Made with a low-temperature fermentation and vacuum distillation process to enhance delicate rice notes, the 21° alcohol soju is positioned as a sipping, premium option for pairing with meals and is priced around 9,000 won. KR Company says the GS THE FRESH rollout for Dokdo Day aims to boost the distilled soju market and promote value-driven consumption that supports Dokdo protection (Dokdo: a group of islets claimed by Korea).
