Wonju City and Korea Tourism Organization are running a China group tour package combining the 31st Wonju International Walking Event and the 2025 Wonju Dumpling Festival. About 730 visitors from Beijing, Qingdao, Shenyang, Shanghai and other cities will join the 5 km walk and then visit the dumpling (mandu) festival. To support the group, organizers will provide guides, a send-off ceremony, a dedicated information booth, Chinese-language leaflets and dumpling exchange vouchers to use at festival stalls. Mayor Won Gang-su said the collaboration aims to develop a sustainable inbound tourism product so Wonju becomes a city foreign tourists visit and stay in frequently.
