Goyang’s K-Culture Valley project has moved forward as Live Nation’s consortium was selected as the preferred bidder to build and operate a new large-scale music arena. The global concert promoter will enter negotiations with Gyeonggi Province and the housing authority starting late October, aiming to sign an agreement by February and restart construction in May. Governor Kim Dong-yeon said the arena will be built to host 20,000–50,000 people and operate year-round, helping make Goyang a K-pop (Korean pop music) landmark. Live Nation, ranked No.1 in global ticket sales in 2024 by Pollstar, has experience staging major shows in Korea and is expected to bring international expertise to the K-Culture Valley complex. (K-Culture Valley is a regional cultural development project in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.)
