Tod’s Shows Off Ultra-Soft 'Pashmy' Leather and New Red Dot Sneakers for Fall/WinterCreatrip Team
2 months ago
Italian high-end brand Tod’s unveiled its 2025 Fall/Winter collection, highlighting exceptionally soft leather called “Pashmy” (a leather inspired by pashmina/cashmere) used across shoes, bags and ready-to-wear. Creative Director Matteo Tamburini applied Pashmy to classic menswear items like bomber and shirt jackets and expanded its use into women’s jackets and coats. Artisans select calf, goat and sheep hides and use double-dyeing and special tanning to create a textile-like, lightweight leather that is water-resistant and supple. Tod’s is promoting this as the “Pashmy Project,” emphasizing craftsmanship and Italian lifestyle. The brand also introduced the Red Dot sneaker line for men, featuring a single red pebble on the heel (symbolizing the brand’s heart) and drawing inspiration from Tod’s iconic Gommino driving shoe (a 1970s driving shoe with rubber pebble outsoles). The Red Dot family uses materials from sturdy calf leather to Pashmy suede and includes lace-up, elastic-lace and sporty loafer styles, combining comfort, support and Tod’s refined design language.
