Lotte World donated 30 million KRW to the Bobath Children’s Rehabilitation Center at Hanam Bobath Hospital to support medical costs for underprivileged children. Company executives and hospital officials attended the donation ceremony. The funds were raised through Lotte World’s customer participation campaign “Good Memories” and a linked Naver Happybean (a Korean fundraising platform) donation box. From July 14 to Sept 14, visitors to five Lotte World sites left reviews on Naver Place and generated 10,000 reviews, raising 10 million KRW; separate online donations from July 7 to Sept 14 added 20 million KRW from about 5,000 contributions. Donors left encouraging messages, and the total donation will be delivered via the Community Chest of Korea (Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest). Lotte World also runs other social programs like Dream Stage (a performance program for children with cancer) and Dream Job (youth career experience), using its theme-park resources for community support.
