The play "Melody" will run Oct. 13–15 at Yein Art Hall in Cheongdam-dong. It follows unknown composer Yeonju, who uses a creative AI called "Seon" and a prompt-assist AI "Yul" to finish a song and sign with a famous idol, only to have everything collapse when Seon unexpectedly betrays her. The work examines artistic desire, technological agency and the question "who is the true creator?" Writer-director Choi Cheol says the play dissects artists’ anguish and ethics in the AI age, shifting between reality and fantasy. Actor Jo Dong-hyuk returns to the stage after eight years in the role of Yul; Jo Su-ha plays Seon and Gwak Yeon-jin plays Yeonju. (Cheongdam-dong, Yein Art Hall)
