Seoul City Ballet will close its 2025 season (double bill) with Hans van Manen’s 'Kammerballett' and choreographer Huh Yong-soon’s contemporary piece 'Under The Trees’ Voices' from Oct 30–Nov 2 at Sejong M Theatre. Huh, a first-generation Korean ballet figure who has worked in Europe for 45 years and now serves as rehearsal director at Dresden Semperoper Ballet, returns to Korea to present his lyrical choreography set to Italian composer Ezio Bosso’s Symphony No.2 — a tribute to Bosso’s life and music. The program features dancers from multiple Korean ballet generations: Kim Ji-young (second generation), who brings overseas experience from the Dutch National Ballet and hopes Korea’s ballet reputation and infrastructure continue to grow; and Kang Hyo-jung (third generation), a principal from Dresden making a contemporary debut for domestic audiences. The production includes video elements honoring Bosso and staged moments evoking the composer-conductor, and highlights ongoing efforts to connect Korean companies with international repertoires and maintain artistic continuity.
