Yeongdeok Mulga-jami Festival Returns as Seafood Grill FestaCreatrip Team
2 months ago
The 19th Yeongdeok Mulga-jami Festival will run Nov. 7–9 at Chuksan Port, reimagined as a Seafood Grill Festa to celebrate recovery after recent wildfires. Organized as a participatory fishing-village culture festival, it highlights fresh, locally caught seafood grilled on-site by fishermen in a Seafood Grill Zone, letting visitors taste the East Sea’s bounty and learn about fishermen’s lives. Activities include a seaside flea market (플리마켓), free tastings, bare-handed fish catching, SNS photo contests, and family-friendly programs. A combined SUN & MOON STAGE links daytime trot and guest singer performances and a local “Star K” sing-along with nighttime youth and artist performances plus a DJ party. Organizers say the event aims to boost local morale and the economy while showcasing Yeongdeok’s maritime culture.
