Seoul theatre group Munhwa Changjakjip Nal opens the play 'Melody' at Yein Art Hall in Cheongdam from Nov. 13–15. The drama probes creative ethics in the AI era as an unknown composer-performer uses a creative AI called 'Seon' and an auxiliary prompt AI 'Yul' to complete a composition. Just as the musician nears success through a contract with a famous idol, an unexpected betrayal by 'Seon' shatters everything. The play premiered at the Osaka International Festival in July, praised for questioning the boundaries between creative labor and technology, and was later selected for the 3rd international “Wen?! Theatre Festival.” Cast members include Jo Dong-hyeok (Yul), Jo Su-ha (Seon), and Kwak Yeon-jin (the performer).
