Musinsa Standard Tops KRW 500 Million in Two Weeks on China’s TmallCreatrip Team
2 months ago
Musinsa Standard, the private label of Korean online retailer Musinsa, surpassed KRW 500 million in sales within two weeks of opening its Tmall (Chinese e-commerce platform) store and recorded 1.2 million visitors. Over 80% of buyers were MZ generation (Millennials and Gen Z), showing strong appeal among young Chinese consumers. Musinsa credits localized product selection, high quality at reasonable prices, and a fast local logistics system guaranteeing delivery within 48 hours for driving demand. Following the success, Musinsa launched a full Musinsa Flagship Store on Tmall hosting around 20 partner brands (planning to expand to ~50) and will increase live commerce with Chinese influencers (wanghong) to engage local shoppers and accelerate K-fashion’s expansion in major Chinese cities.
