A Boston Consulting Group report says the global pre-owned luxury and fashion market is growing about 10% annually—three times faster than new goods—and is currently worth roughly $210 billion (≈299 trillion KRW). The market could expand to $360 billion (≈512 trillion KRW) by 2030. Among 7,800 consumers surveyed, 78% cited affordability as the main reason for buying pre-owned luxury items; finding discontinued pieces was another key benefit. Meanwhile, major luxury brands continue regular price hikes in Korea, with brands like Tiffany & Co., Bulgari, Boucheron, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Damiani announcing increases of about 5–10% on selected jewelry and watches.
