Seoul launches hotel sales pilot for official souvenirs targeting foreign visitorsCreatrip Team
2 months ago
Seoul Tourism Foundation is piloting online sales of official “Seoul Goods” for foreign tourists at four Myeong-dong hotels (Hotel Skypark and i’stay) through the end of the year. Guests scan a QR code in their rooms to order and pay, then pick up purchases at the front desk — the first time Seoul Goods are offered via an in-hotel, contactless online system. The selection focuses on lightweight, popular items for travelers, including landscape magnets depicting Gyeongbokgung, Gwanghwamun and Namsan (famous Seoul landmarks), fabric coasters, mother-of-pearl bookmarks, coin pouches, reusable cups and diffusers that blend practicality with traditional Seoul aesthetics. The Foundation hopes the pilot will create a new retail touchpoint, linking accommodation, tourism and shopping, and plans further public-private collaborations to expand global access to Seoul Goods and enrich visitor experiences.
