Pop star Taylor Swift was seen wearing a vintage t-shirt featuring sea otters in a video celebrating her new album “The Life of a Showgirl.” Fans worldwide flooded the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which made the shirt in 1992, with donations to its sea otter (해달) conservation fund after the aquarium reissued the tee. The aquarium offered the shirt to donors who gave at least $65.13, and within eight hours donations surpassed the $1.3M goal; within two days they exceeded $2.3M (about ₩3.27 billion). It’s unclear how Swift obtained the decades-old shirt, and the aquarium says it does not know whether she visited their gift shop when she was in the nearby Carmel area with her fiancé.
