Inclusive Art Festival in Paju Brings Disabled and Non-disabled Artists TogetherCreatrip Team
2 months ago
An inclusive art festival featuring around 75 artists, including 74 developmentally disabled (발달장애인) creators and one non-disabled young prodigy, will take place at Paju Art Factory NJF from April 24–26 as part of Artpartmant Week 2025. Organized by Han Jemma’s Naver community “GeurimMom” (그림엄마), the event blends art and everyday life (Art + Apartment) and showcases diverse works across two booths. Activities include docent tours led by artists’ mothers and a mentoring session on April 25 where director and art creator Han Jemma—known as a “picture DJ” who popularizes art—will engage directly with the participating artists. The community, active since 2020, aims to promote mentoring, exhibition opportunities, and social inclusion through art, offering visitors a chance to experience how art becomes part of daily life and to challenge traditional perceptions of art.
