Eight fashion labels from Busan formed a 'Busan Showroom' and attended Mode Shanghai, a major trade exhibition, from June 9–13. Participating brands reported over 1.55 million yuan (about 300 million won) in business inquiries. Brands Reonve and Bajuyo drew attention by collaborating with a local hanbok creative center to reinterpret hanbok (traditional Korean dress) aesthetics in contemporary designs. Several exhibitors are negotiating orders and expect samples to lead to concrete deals. The Busan Textile & Fashion Industry Association said the event confirmed local designers’ global potential and pledged to strengthen international networks through overseas shows, fashion weeks and export consultations.
