Yeongdeok Cultural Tourism Foundation will hold the first “Yeongdeok MeongMeong Trekking” on the 26th at Byeolparang Park in Changpo wind farm, Yeongdeok-eup, Yeongdeok County. The main activity is a 3 km treasure-hunt walk along a trail with pet dogs. Other programs include a mini obstacle sports day with dogs, making custom dog collars, and dog caricatures. Pet expert and TV personality Lee Woong-jong (nicknamed the “original Dog President”) from Isak Dog Training Center will give a special lecture and behavior-coaching session. Registration is open on the foundation’s website until the 25th for the first 100 teams; the 10,000-won fee is refunded as Yeongdeok Love gift certificates (local shopping vouchers). The foundation hopes the event will help Yeongdeok become known as a pet-friendly tourist city and let visitors enjoy autumn with their pets.
