The 4th Hangang (Han River) Culture Festival will present a 'Musical Gala Concert' on the 25th at Yeouido Baptist Church in Seoul. The program features highlights from beloved musicals such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Misérables, Notre-Dame de Paris, West Side Story, and Jekyll & Hyde. Top Korean artists including tenor Jeong Ui-geun, soprano Park Hyun-joo, and Kim Shin-yi from the band Monni will perform alongside musical and theatre actors Kim Dae-woo, Ahn Ji-hoo, and Choi Jung-hoon. Members of Yeouido Baptist Church's cultural arts mission will contribute through volunteer performances. The festival, started to uplift Seoul citizens amid difficult times and launched as part of the church’s cultural arts mission, has previously showcased classical, rock, and original music theatre works to engage the community and lower barriers for newcomers to the church.
