Pyeongtaek city in Gyeonggi Province will host the 'Pyeongtaek EVERYONE Festival' on the 25–26th at Sosabeol Sports Town to celebrate 30 years since the 1995 integration of Pyeongtaek County, Songtan City and Pyeongtaek City. The two-day event looks back on three decades of growth and unity while sharing a vision for the next 100 years. Day one features a large citizen parade with local artists, youth, a military band and honor guard, followed by an opening ceremony with performances by La Poem, Jeong Tae-chun and Park Eun-ok, the Pyeongtaek Municipal Gugak Orchestra (Korean traditional music), and a drone light show. The closing day will include performances by singers Roy Kim and Park Sang-min and soprano Lee Sun-young, along with participatory booths and arts and cultural exhibitions. Mayor Jeong Jang-seon said the festival is meant as a harmonious celebration where all citizens are protagonists in shaping Pyeongtaek’s next century.
